What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Being with the people that lift you up and with that appreciating the very simplest joys of life like laughter, being outdoors in nature, fully being in the moment and of course good food and wine (I’m a big foodie after all!).
What do you consider the most underrated virtue?
Kindness. I don’t think it takes anything to be kind to another person. You don’t know their journey in life and sometimes the kindness of a stranger is one of the best things you can ever receive.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
At the moment it has to be ‘potentially', ‘zeitgeist' and ‘myriad'. Random I know. I tend to go through phases of overusing certain words and then switch to others. I would go as far as to call myself a logophile (someone who loves words), although I abhor the word “but”…too many people use that one.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Writing my book. Looking back I cannot believe I actually did it...and that I’m starting the process of a second one now?!
Who are your heroes in real life?
My mum and dad. Their strength and compassion in the most challenging of times has made me even more in awe of them if I wasn’t before. A truly remarkable pair.
What is your motto?
Live every moment.
Which book changed your life?
The Third Plate by Dan Barber - eye popping, thought provoking and somewhat scary altogether.
How do you relax?
Yoga has been my saviour for nearly 20 years now. Couldn’t live without it.
What is your earliest memory?
Cutting my own hair. It was a mess but I was so proud.
What is your most treasured possession?
My great grandmother's wedding ring. Its still just as shiny with a star diamond burning bright as it was 100 years ago. My great grandfather parted with some very prized cattle at the time to buy it for her.
