Samantha's July Love List
The Go Visit
Over the years I have always been blown away by Anya Hindmarch's creativity and her latest project is pretty amazing – she’s launched the Anya Village, a collection of stores on Pont Street including a delicious café with a real neighbourhood feel plus a store dedicated to her sustainable collection. Just incredible and worth a visit.
The Exhibition
I studied fine art so always find paintings a great source of inspiration and joy. Helen Frankenthaler is currently exhibiting at Gagosian Grosvener Hill, Mayfair and standing in-front of her abstracted landscapes is engrossing and even relaxing! A pioneer of colour-field painting, it’s not only her use of colour that I find inspiring but also her unfazed trailblazing in an industry dominated by men.
The Summer Wine
I am not usually a big rosé drinker as it tends to give me a headache, but the organic Rosé De Léoube is light, fresh and delicious and hasn’t caused me any ill effect (yet!).
The Restaurant
Located just off the Kings Road near our pop-up store in Chelsea, Stanley’s is a perfect place to eat al fresco. The food is so seasonal and fresh, and the menu is always changing so it never feels repetitive. My husband and I visited a lot in the winter before the last lockdown, as it was very well heated when only outdoor dining was allowed. The Head Chef is the hugely impressive Olivia Burt who was a recent runner-up on MasterChef: The Professionals and who is also a Roux Scholarship finalist for the second time.
The Highlight
This summer we’ve finally got our Instagram videos going. I had been putting it off as I felt nervous about doing them, but it’s actually been a lot of fun and great to have the chance to talk about Cefinn’s collection in more detail and explain the design process. We’re still finding our feet with the videos, but I am excited to see where we take Cefinn’s Instagram next!
The Beauty Staple
I can’t live without Blushing Nude lipstick by Clinique. I almost always wear the same colour this colour and I buy it in bulk and dread them discontinuing it. I have oily skin so can’t live without Clinique as everything is oil-free.
The Treat
I’m a big fan of Amie wine, especially their red which is made from 100% Carignan a grape native to the Languedoc. It’s on the lighter side which makes it easy drinking and pairs with most food and the brand has a great inspiring story of how it began during the first lockdown.
As a friend of the Amie team, they have been kind enough to offer Cefinn customers 10% off with the code SAM10.
